TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until October 8, 2023. If the departure is cancelled out of your control, you will be alerted by October 8, 2023 and will receive a full refund.

Day 1
Welcome to Costa Rica – make yourself at home in La Fortuna and shift into relaxation mode
Beautiful Costa Rica, a country that truly boasts peace, relaxation, and chill vibes only, is ready to welcome you with open arms for a six-day retreat in the heart of the country. Upon arrival in San José, grab your bags and take your group transfer to the small town of La Fortuna, home to the Arenal Volcano. (Please purchase tickets so that you arrive at the airport between 12 pm – 4 pm. If you do not arrive in this time period, you may miss the transfer to the accommodation.) This massive work of nature will be your backdrop for the next five nights.
Once you arrive, you’ll have time to check in and get yourself settled before we come together for a share circle and meditation session. This is the time to release your fears and open your heart to the transformative experience that lies ahead. We’ll close out the night with a welcome dinner where you can enjoy the local fare and get to know your fellow retreaters.
Day 2
Learn about cacao on a chocolate tour in between yoga sessions at the resort
Wake up the mind and the body with a Vinyasa flow session, the perfect way to enjoy the sunrise in paradise. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a chocolate tour right on the property grounds and learn about the process of turning cacao into the delicious sweet treat we all love. The plantation features over 300 cacao trees and uses a combination of modern and ancient practices to harvest the crop. You’ll also get to sample the ‘Drink of the Gods’ with an array of spices and options from a variety of regions.
From here, you’ll have free time at the resort to rest and relax before we close out the day with a restorative Yin session and dinner.
Day 3
Hike the Arenal Volcano and spend the afternoon relaxing in the natural hot springs of Ecotermales
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll travel to the Arenal Volcano for an invigorating hike through the lush landscape. From here, we’ll venture to the Ecotermales Hot Springs for a truly relaxing experience. The hyper-thermal magnesia-filled waters are great for skin conditions, stress, fatigue, anxiety, and so much more. Choose from an array of pools and enjoy a cold drink at one of the two outdoor bars. We’ll enjoy a luxury lunch on the springs grounds before returning to the lodge for dinner and an optional share circle.
Day 4
Wake up with morning yoga and learn all about herbal medicine from a local expert
Rise and shine to another beautiful day in Costa Rica. Our morning will begin with a guided meditation and gentle yoga session to help us ground and align using the magical energy of the jungle. From here, we’ll fuel up for the day with breakfast, then head to an herbal medicine workshop on the lodge grounds that will help us reconnect with the ancient wisdom of plants. Vero will teach you all about the practical and theoretical secrets of the alchemy of medicinal plants using herbs right from the farm. This hands-on workshop will even give you a sample to take home!
After the class, the day is yours for the taking. Relax by the pool, book an excursion, or simply be one with nature in this jungle paradise. We’ll come together at sundown for a restorative yoga session and dinner.
Day 5
Celebrate the retreat with a cacao ceremony and festive farewell dinner
Our last day here will be filled with movement, reflection, and celebration, as we prepare to say goodbye to our jungle respite. We’ll kick off the day with morning yoga, followed by breakfast and a farm tour at Finca Luna Nueva. You'll gain an insight into the farming practices of this area in addition to developing a stronger connection with the fertile environment that surrounds you. When evening falls, we’ll come together for a sacred cacao ceremony, also known by the ancient Mayans as the ‘flesh of the Gods’. This divine substance is considered medicine for your heart and soul, helping us unlock the doors to unconditional love and healing. After, we’ll enjoy one final meal together where we can reflect on all that we’ve shared and start saying our goodbyes.
Day 6
Say goodbye to Costa Rica and hello to a rejuvenated mind, body, and soul
We hope the healing powers of Costa Rica have given you the opportunity to relax and work on yourself in this tropical paradise. With one more optional yoga session before we leave, you’ll feel good as new when you return home. After breakfast, pack up and take your transfer to the airport to catch your flight. Safe travel and be well!

Finca Luna Nueva Lodge
Finca Luna Nueva is located in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle, deemed a recreational paradise and a living classroom for all who visit. The lodge offers delicious ‘farm-to-table’ food, comfortable rooms/suites, and miles of hiking trails through rainforests, farmland, and herbal gardens. Enjoy the views of each from your chosen accommodation, all featuring private decks or wraparound porches. You’ll have everything you need for the perfect experience, including private bathrooms with hot water, linens and towels, and space to rest and relax. The property also features a pool, stunning yoga shala, spa, open-air lounge area, and delicious restaurant. Room type: Double occupancy. Room configuration: 1 single bed and 1 king bed.
