Cancellation policy
TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until February 14, 2023. If the departure is cancelled out of your control, you will be alerted by February 14, 2023 and will receive a full refund.
In this case, TourHero is not responsible for your preparation expenses, such as airline tickets, extra accommodations, loss of work, or any other cost associated with preparing for your trip. We recommend booking travel insurance, along with refundable flights/accommodations in case of cancellation.

Day 1
Welcome to Cape Town, the starting point of our retreat — enjoy a warm welcome dinner with traditional performances to bring us together
Welcome to South Africa, one of the most culturally and geographically diverse countries on Earth, where different perspectives and experiences will help shape us. We are very pleased to have you here with us on a retreat designed for women to gain empowerment and confidence-building tools to better understand, influence, and master our love lives. As this retreat unfolds, embrace experiences that involve exploration and adventure, with workshop sessions built into the itinerary every other day.
Upon arriving at Cape Town International Airport, we'll transfer you to your five-star accommodation where you can enjoy the level of comfort that you deserve. After checking in, enjoy an afternoon of free time to settle in. We will then head to Iron Steak Bar and Grill for a welcome dinner where we can truly kick off the trip in style.
Day 2
Get some beautiful photos taken before a visit to Table Mountain and a thrilling dinner with live drumming
Today, awaken before dawn to an energizing breakfast. You'll also have the option to head to the Cathedral for a 2-hour self-empowerment workshop.
We'll reward ourselves with an incredible photoshoot. After some amazing pics are taken, we'll grab lunch at Mojo Market and visit Table Mountain for some stunning views.
In the evening, a unique African dinner experience awaits us at the fantastic GOLD Restaurant. Enjoy a 14-dish taste-safari paired with traditional Mali puppets and interactive drumming performances! Break the ice and celebrate the start of this transformative journey with your fellow retreat companions.
Day 3
Embark on a full-day Cape Peninsula tour, complete with a hike to the Cape Point lighthouse and penguin sightings!
Rise and shine! We'll indulge in an early breakfast at the hotel before we meet at the hotel foyer at 8:30 am to embark on our full-day Cape Peninsula tour.
As we leave the city behind, our exciting journey follows the mountain range all the way to Cape Point this morning, and from there we'll stretch our legs with a short hike up to the lighthouse for absolutely exquisite views. We'll also see the Cape of Good Hope, the southernmost tip in Southern Africa. Then, for a taste of Cape Town wildlife, we head to the Boulders Penguin Colony to observe the adorable African penguins! Afterwards, we'll enjoy a set menu lunch at Black Marlin before we drive over the Chapman's Peak mountain range, with the chance to stop for a great photo op (subject to road conditions).
After this incredible full-day tour, we'll head back to the comfort of our five-star hotel for a well-deserved rest. Once evening rolls around, we'll enjoy dinner in the city at Utopia, a local restaurant.
Day 4
Catch the ferry to visit Robben Island for a day tour; delight in a scenic boat cruise in the evening
Start the day with an indulgent breakfast. Then, we'll embark on a full-day Cape Town excursion which starts with a transfer to the base of Robben Island (please carry your passports with you here) to board a scheduled boat cruise to the island where Nobel Laureate and former President of South Africa Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Robben Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you will see several locations on this tour.
In the afternoon, we'll proceed to Mozambik for lunch, then enjoy some leisure time. And before we set off back to our luxurious hotel, enjoy a wonderful sunset cruise and a group dinner at Life Grand.
Day 5
Journey to Stellenbosch; have a light picnic at a wine estate and enjoy a wine tasting session
We say goodbye to Cape Town today. After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, it's time to check out and journey to the Cape Winelands, known as one of the best in the world! We'll be visiting the Spier Wine Farm, one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa dating back to 1692.
Enjoy a relaxing day with a light picnic on the lawn of this historic estate and delight in a wine tasting session with chocolate pairings. It's a day of self-love and indulgence — and we can never have too much of that!
Later in the evening, we'll retire for the night at our luxurious accommodation in Stellenbosch and enjoy some dinner.
Day 6
Explore the town of Franschhoek and learn the art of wine tasting and making
After breakfast, a workshop session, and some wine tasting, we'll embark on yet another fun-filled excursion in the afternoon, this time to the idyllic town of Franschhoek. Here, we'll visit Anthonij Rupert Wyne for another wonderful wine and cheese tasting opportunity, as well as an insightful cellar tour. We'll also have lunch at the wine estate.
At the end of the day, we'll return to the hotel for an incredible dinner cooked just to your liking.
Day 7
Settle into the Gondwana Game Reserve, enjoy lunch, and head out on an afternoon safari game drive to catch sight of the Big 5!
It's time to leave Stellenbosch behind today. After one last breakfast at the hotel, we'll check out and enjoy a drive to the Gondwana Game Reserve.
Providing guests with more than just an unforgettable Big 5 safari experience, the Gondwana Game Reserve offers luxurious African hospitality complete with the all-inclusive treatment you deserve. Once you arrive, enjoy a sumptuous lunch, and an afternoon game drive to see some of the amazing animals that call the reserve home. Later in the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge and share laughs and stories over a delicious meal.
Day 8
Catch the rising sun on an early morning game drive before breakfast and a workshop session; embark on an afternoon safari to see the animals once more!
As they say: the early bird catches the worm. To make the most of our day, we'll have an early morning wake up call and embark on a game drive of the reserve — this is the best time to see all the animals at first light! We'll get back in time to have a yummy breakfast, followed by some free time. After lunch, we'll head out on an afternoon game drive before we return to the lodge for a final dinner together.
Day 9
It's time to bid South Africa goodbye or journey to Johannesburg with a post-trip extension (see add-ons below)
It’s the final day of this retreat — we hope you have had a wonderful empowerment journey in South Africa, connecting with yourself and discovering new perspectives. After one last game drive and a final breakfast, it’s time to leave the hotel behind and depart for the airport. We hope to see you again — travel safe!

What airport should I arrange my flights to?
Capetown International Airport. If you purchase the Johannesburg extension, please make sure your return flights back to the United States depart from Tambo International Airport.
What dates should my flights be arranged for?
Please make sure to make arrangements for flights to arrive on April 15, 2023. From the United States this means departing April 14, 2023.
Are flights from Capetown to Johannesburg included?
Flights are not included from Capetown to Johannesburg. If you purchase the Johannesburg extension, please purchase flight from Cape Town International Airport into Johannesburg airport Tambo International Airport. Your returning US flight should also be booked to depart from Johannesburg Tambo International Airport.

About Deposits

Are airport transfers included?
Yes! Airport transfers are included on April 15 and April 23 + for the Johannesburg extension.
What are the entry requirements for South Africa?
American Citizens with a valid US Passport may enter South Africa without applying for a visa in advance. A 90-day tourist visa will be issued upon arrival. No proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to enter South Africa from the United States. Negative COVID-19 test is NOT required to enter South Africa from the United States. For up to date information, please check requirements at apply.joinsherpa.com prior to travel!
Do I need a malaria or yellow fever vaccine to enter South Africa?
Malaria medication + Yellow Fever Vaccinations are not required to enter South Africa. However, the CDC recommends that travelers going to certain areas of South Africa take prescription medicine to prevent malaria. Depending on the medicine you take, you will need to start taking this medicine multiple days before your trip, as well as during and after your trip. Talk to your doctor about which malaria medication you should take, if any.

TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until February 14, 2023. If the departure is cancelled out of your control, you will be alerted by February 14, 2023 and will receive a full refund.
In this case, TourHero is not responsible for your preparation expenses, such as airline tickets, extra accommodations, loss of work, or any other cost associated with preparing for your trip. We recommend booking travel insurance, along with refundable flights/accommodations in case of cancellation.
Refunds for deposits
We will hold your spot as soon as you put down your deposit. However, if you decide to cancel your trip, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

Trip cancellation due to COVID-19
A full credit will be issued if the tour is canceled when there is full border closure due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
