Rise and shine for another exhilarating day in Istanbul! Following a hearty breakfast, we embark on a captivating city tour, immersing ourselves in the awe-inspiring history and architecture of iconic landmarks. Explore the Hagia Sophia, one of the largest buildings in the world. Continue to the Hippodrome. Built by the Roman Emperor Septimus Severus in 203AD, it served as the civil center of the city when it was under Roman rule. Next, visit the Blue Mosque, one of the most famous landmarks of the cold city. Afterward, head to the Spice Bazaar to pick up uniquely local items. We'll enjoy lunch along the way during the tour. At the end of the sightseeing experience, you'll be dropped back at your hotel where you'll then have the rest of the day free at leisure.
After a delightful breakfast, we have a free day with time for business meetings and time alongside your fellow travelers. In the evening, hop aboard a cruise along the majestic Bosphorus waterway, where you'll be treated to panoramic vistas of Istanbul's most breathtaking landmarks, including the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, the elegant Rusem pasa Mosque, the imposing Rumeli Fortress, and the enchanting parks and pavilions of Yildiz Palace. We will also enjoy dinner together onboard before disembarking and returning to our hotel, with the rest of the evening to spend as you wish.
Our time in Istanbul has been truly delightful, but it's time for us to head to our second destination of the trip: Cappadocia. An early morning flight will take us away to this wonderland where we will kick off the action with a tour visiting several of the most iconic locations.
We begin at the Goreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site with stunning rock-cut churches and frescoes depicting biblical scenes. Next, it's off to Devrent Valley, known for its whimsical rock formations resembling animals and mythical creatures. The tour continues to Pasabagi, or Monk’s Valley, famous for its fairy chimneys and historical monk cells. Lunch is enjoyed in Avanos, a town renowned for its pottery tradition and scenic river views. You'll even get to try your hand at making some pottery alongside the locals. The final stop is Uchisar Castle, a natural rock fortress offering panoramic vistas of the Cappadocian landscape from its ancient rock-carved fortress. We then head to the hotel to rest up.
We begin our second day of Cappadocia discovery today directly after breakfast. Stop number one is the Rose Valley, celebrated for its stunning pink-hued rock formations and scenic hiking trails that wind through vineyards and orchards. Next is Cavusin, a charming village known for its rock-cut dwellings and the impressive Church of St. John the Baptist. The tour then moves to Pigeon Valley, famous for its pigeon houses carved into the cliffs, which were historically used to collect pigeon droppings for fertilizer. Following this, the tour explores Cappadocia's remarkable underground cities like Derinkuyu and Kaymakli, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region's subterranean history and architecture. The final stop is Ortahisar, a town with a dramatic rock castle.
Today, we depart Cappadocia for the stunning coastal city of Antalya. With an early start, we soar through the skies, savoring a delicious breakfast box as we make our way to this breathtaking destination. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Antalya as we embark on an exhilarating city tour, where every corner holds a hidden gem. Visit the majestic Duden waterfall, the ancient Hadrian's Gate, and the iconic Clock Tower. Our exploration continues as we delve into the charming Antalya Old Town, a labyrinth of narrow streets and historic buildings waiting to be discovered. Then, we'll head to Aspendos, an ancient Greco-Roman city that is now captivating ruins to explore. As the sun sets, we retreat to our accommodation, ready to unwind and recharge for the adventures that await us tomorrow.
Fuel up with a hearty breakfast before embarking on two thrilling outdoor activities that will get your heart racing and your spirits soaring — river rafting and off-road jeep tour. Visit traditional villages in the mountains by jeep, then go rafting in the Koprulu Canyon for a different experience in the mountain landscape. The full-day excursion includes lunch, rafting instruction and equipment, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Your guide will accompany you during the excursion to offer explanations and a deeper appreciation of the landscape you'll come across.
As the sun rises on our final day, we gather one last time to savor a delicious breakfast, reminiscing about the countless memories made during our incredible journey through Türkiye. From the bustling streets of Istanbul to the amazing geology of Cappadocia to the tranquil shores of Antalya, we've witnessed the rich tapestry of history, culture, and natural beauty that this captivating country has to offer. As we bid farewell and transfer to the airport, our hearts are full, knowing that the bonds forged and the experiences shared will remain cherished treasures forever. Until we meet again, Türkiye, thank you for an unforgettable adventure!
