Details

Day 1

Welcome to Maui, Hawaii – a literal heaven filled with beaches, nature parks, and ancestral culture

Welcome to Maui, a Hawaiian island known for its idyllic parks, beaches, waterfalls, and windsurfing. The island features 30 miles of beach sheltered from strong currents thanks to the lava rocks that guard the shorelines and various nature reserves where you can enjoy the tropical backdrop. Hike to see impressive wildlife, learn about the island’s history and culture through tours and hula shows, snorkel in the pristine waters, or simply relax on the iconic shorelines you’ve heard so much about. This sought-after destination brings over two million guests per year, with travelers looking to explore the lush landscape, stellar island food, and crystal clear waters. Upon arrival, head to the rental location to pick up your SUVs. Now, the journey begins! Make your way to your beautiful oceanfront hotel, get settled, and let the chill island vibes soothe your soul. From your accommodation, you’re just minutes away from various bars and restaurants. Head downtown and let the fun begin

Day 2

Watch the sunrise and hike the crater trail in Haleakalā National Park

Get up early and drive to Haleakalā National Park to see the sunrise. This gorgeous nature sanctuary features lush rainforests, volcanic landscape, a rocky coastline, and so much more. The park offers over 30 miles of hiking trails and the perfect setting for watching the sunrise over the island. The sunrise showing is by reservation only. To book, click here. After the sun finds its place in the sky, explore Keonehe‘ehe‘e, also known as the Sliding Sands Trail, where you can hike down into the volcanic craters. The first overlook is about half a mile round trip, but you can continue on four miles through the rough terrain. The trailhead is in the Haleakalā Visitor Center parking lot near the road and easy to access. We recommend completing the first half, which is two and a half miles–five miles round trip. Be aware that the trails can be strenuous with their high-elevation and lack of resources, so bring water, snacks, and anything else you may need for the trip.

Explore the bamboo forest along the Pīpīwai Trail and marvel at Waimoku Falls

Take a break to refuel after your first trek, then head back into the park to explore the Pīpīwai Trail. This four-mile trail will take you to the Makahiku Overlook a half mile in, the bamboo forest one mile in, and the Waimoku Falls two miles in. From bridges to waterfalls, this trail is a must-see on any trip to Maui! When you’re done exploring, you can find your way back to the hotel, stopping by a local restaurant for some sushi, tacos, or other island favorites.

Day 3

Take an afternoon hike at Lahaina Pali or 'Iao Valley State Monument

After a restful sleep, awake to another day in paradise for exploration, relaxation, and fun! If you’re feeling adventurous, head to the Lahaina Pali Trail after breakfast, which can be located from the Ukumehame (West) Trailhead. It’s a four and a half mile loop that features beautiful wild flowers, cliffside views, and a challenge for those looking to burn some calories. You can also make your way to 'Iao Valley State Monument, a 4,000-acre valley filled with trails, nature, and beautiful backdrops. This choice is yours on this incredible getaway!

Immerse yourself in Polynesian culture on a luau party sunset cruise

Tonight, head to the Ma'alaea Harbor and board the Pride of Maui for a two-hour sunset dinner cruise. This one-of-a-kind experience combines Hawaiian culture and a party atmosphere with freshly prepared foods, open bar with craft cocktails, Polynesian dancers, and interactive performances. Soak in the pristine views and see if you can spot some whales along the way!

Day 4

Drive the Road to Hana and enjoy various stops along the way

Good morning, travelers! Today, wake up at your own pace and prepare for a journey to Hana on the famous roadway known and traveled by many. This iconic excursion features 65-miles along the Hana Highway where you’ll pass waterfalls, lush beaches, tropical forests, a lava cave, and various scenic outlooks. Stop and swim, take pictures, eat, and more on this full-day adventure! We recommend checking out Twin Falls, the Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, Hana Town, the Kaihalulu Red Sand Beach, and Wailua Falls, but don’t limit yourself to this list. If you plan to visit Waianapanapa, advanced reservations are required. To book, click here. While you have the entire day to explore, we do recommend starting early to avoid the crowds and see as much as you possibly can. Choose your own adventure and let the fun unfold on the road!

Day 5

Embark on a snorkeling excursion at Molokini Crater

Rise and shine, adventurers! Wake up early and make your way to the harbor for an oceanic adventure at the Molokini Crater! This crescent-shaped islet was made from volcanic eruptions and has some of the best snorkeling on the planet. The tour will start at 7:00 am sharp and will head directly to the crater to avoid the crowds. From there, you’ll travel to Turtle Town to swim with the sea turtles and catch a glimpse of some blue whales in the distance. You’ll have time to float in the Azul sea, snorkel, and enjoy boat life throughout the excursion. This trip is BYOB, but the boat will provide all the snorkeling gear, breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea, soda, and water for your convenience. Did we mention they have a waterslide? This excursion will be one for the books. Enjoy the sights, the food, and the fun!

Free time in Maui to explore

The boat will dock around noon, leaving you the rest of the day to relax and explore. Why not hang at one of Maui’s pristine beaches? You’re less than 25 minutes away from both Ho’okipa Beach Park and Kihei. Ho’okipa is best known for its windsurfing, but if you enjoy watching others get wild in the water, park yourself on this beach and bathe in the sun. Kihei, on the other hand, features sugar-white sands, clear waters, and six miles of beach to explore. If you’re looking to swim, snorkel, or simply relax, this is the option for you. You can also book an ATV excursion and cruise around untouched areas of the Hawaiian landscape or hop on a whale watch boat and snorkel in Maui’s pristine waters. This is your last day on the island of Maui. Make it count!

Day 6

Say Aloha to the beautiful island of Maui

This trip has been one for the books. You’ve seen unparalleled national parks, pristine beaches, and had some of the best seafood on the planet. What a stellar getaway!
