Namaste!
Your cultural reawakening starts here! After flying into Denpasar airport, we'll pick you up and carry you to your spiritual home for the week. Say goodbye to the bustling city as we head to Ubud, nestled in the Balinese countryside between lush jungles and scenic rice terraces. An arty, cultural hotspot in Bali, Ubud will be the ideal base for your explorations, meditations, and relaxation! You'll have some free time to unwind and absorb the atmosphere in your luxury resort once you've checked in. Your first big meeting with your fellow yogi will take place before dinner, in an evening yoga session welcoming you to your break. Dine on delicious local fare before crossing your fingers for a famous Bali sunset — the perfect way to close your first night and get you excited for the next few days.
Good morning! It's your first full day in Bali, and what better way to start it than with some yoga? Stretch out the good vibes from the resort's rooftop yoga pavilion, align those chakras, and get ready to discover some of Bali's excellent cuisine. You'll have sampled some local fare at dinner and breakfast, but now's the chance to find out where those flavors came from! You'll visit a local market with your guide to source some ingredients for your culinary adventures. Then, with help from a local chef, you'll whip up and sample some local snacks. A fantastic introduction to Bali's vibrant culture and a tasty treat! When you return to the hotel, head back up to the roof for more yoga, and then the afternoon is yours. Hang out in the infinity pool, wander out into Ubud, or just lie back and relax. Come back together with your group for sunset yoga and another amazing Balinese dinner. Selamat Malam - goodnight!
Set your alarm, look out your hiking boots, and don't forget to pack some water. Today, if you so choose, you'll ascend the colossal Mt. Batur, a volcanic behemoth with unbeatable views of Mt. Agung, Bali, and even the neighboring island of Lombok. You'll be taken early to the foot of the mountain and led up it by a local guide in time for a light breakfast and a cup of Balinese coffee as the sun rises. A spectacular and unforgettable sight, and then you get to hike all the way back down, too! (This activity isn't included in the base price of the trip; see add-ons below.) When you touch back down, you'll visit Penglipuran Village — a traditional town constructed from bamboo and featuring scenic gardens. You can add-on an optional dip in a volcanic hot spring, too, to reinvigorate you after your impressive hike! Returning to the hotel and then feel free to get yourself back to bed for a few hours! As the sun sets, one final yoga session will limber you up for a Balinese feast — the best reward after a day of adventure!
You've got one last full day in Bali for discovery, relaxation, and reawakening. After your morning yoga and refueling breakfast, you'll be taken on an excursion to a local village. There you'll meet a Balinese woman who'll help you prepare traditional offerings and educate you on their importance. This will be followed by a traditional Balinese feast with a jungle view, immersing you fully in Balinese living. Once you've filled up, it's time to cleanse those chakras at the Tirta Empul Temple where you'll witness a purification ceremony. This impressive temple is one of the holiest in Bali and a source of holy water used in shrines throughout the island. After your spiritual journey, head back to the hotel for more yoga and reflect on your week. You'll have one final night of food and festivities before it's time to get packed up and head to bed. The escape's flown by, but hopefully, you'll be back for more soon!
It’s time to say goodbye to your fellow yogi, and to Bali, at one final yoga session. Reflect on your getaway and the time you’ve spent with your new friends over breakfast. Then, once you’ve checked out, we’ll transport you back through the Ubud countryside to Denpasar and your flight home. We hope you’ve had a magical time in Bali — see you again soon!
