Yay! You’ve landed in the beautiful city of Milan! Once you’ve checked out of the Malpensa Airport, grab a bus or express train to the city and check into your accommodation. You’ll have some free time upon arrival to relax and start exploring. This city is teeming with glorious architecture — both ancient and modern — monuments galore, canal stretches and parks. And, of course, this is one of the most famous fashion cities in the world — a shopper’s paradise! In the late afternoon, you’ll meet your guide for a scrumptious street food tour through the Brera District. This area of Milan is the place to be for high-end shopping and elevated food options. You’ll sample specialty sandwiches from Venice, focaccia from Liguria, and Sicilian pastries, along with artisan cheeses and charcuterie. And of course, you’ll wash it all down with some stellar wine. From savory fare to sweet gelato, this tour will fill your heart (and stomach). Bon appetit!
Rise and shine, travelers! Today is all about sightseeing, and we’ll start with a visit to Milan’s amazing cathedral, the Duomo di Milano. This iconic church is made entirely from marble and crafted in an Italian gothic style. The building is a truly a sight to behold! Inside, you’ll find 3,000 statues, 135 gargoyles, and 700 sculptures. It took almost six centuries to complete. Remember to dress on the conservative side, with arms and legs covered to guarantee entry. We’ll skip the line and hear all about this magnificent building as we tour the structure. From here, we’ll check out the world's largest shopping mall, the 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, then skip the line to see inside the Chiesa di San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore. From here, we’ll visit the Arco della Pace, Sempione Park, and the 15th-century Castello Sforzesco. We’ll break for lunch then make our way to Chiesa di Santa Maria delle Grazie, which houses da Vinci's The Last Supper. This 15th-century mural features the famous depiction of Jesus and the Twelve Apostles, a vital piece of history, indeed. After your tour, you’ll have a free evening to discover the rest of the city. From cafes to bars, Milan has it all. Enjoy!
Today, your schedule is free and clear, which means you can wake up at your own pace, enjoy breakfast at one of the stylish cafes, and let the day unfold as it may. You can shop at the high-end stores, spend your day eating your way through the city, or simply see how the mood strikes. No matter what you choose, live it up!
Today is our last day in Italy, and that means we have to make it count! We have something special in store, as we’ll discover the timeless beauty of the Italian lakes on a full-day tour of Lake Como and Bellagio. The day will start with a walking tour of the chic town of Como that will culminate with a boat ride across the lake, offering views of the snow-peaked mountains and luxury villas along the water. From here, we’ll visit the village of Bellagio with ample time to eat and explore at your own pace. Indulge yourself in the sumptuous food options and let your senses play with the delightful colors of summer painted throughout the town. In the late afternoon, we’ll head back to the city for one last night of fun. Hit up the bars and toast to a stellar Italian getaway! Saluti!
With a full heart and full stomach, it’s time to say goodbye to Milan. We’ve eaten our way through the city, we’ve seen all the iconic sites, we partied with friends new and old, and we even made our way to the countryside for a bliss-filled day of fun. What a trip! Your journey may be over, but we hope it’s the start of a wider Italian adventure. Be well and safe travels!
