My name is Yely Staley, I am a Venezuelan born American citizen, who speaks fluently in English and Spanish. Prior to becoming a Yoga Teacher, I was a Venezuelan Attorney with a law degree from the University of Illinois. After living in Chicago, Illinois for a few years, I moved to Silicon Valley, California, where I owned and operated a yoga studio. With nearly two decades of experience in yoga and meditation, I am a bilingual and certified yoga and meditation teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance. I hold E-RYT 500 and YACEP certifications in Vinyasa Yoga, Functional Yin Yoga, Meditation, and Yoga Anatomy and have accumulated thousands of hours of teaching. Currently I collaborate with Yoga Medicine, Yoga International, and Ompractice by writing articles and teaching various online yoga classes in English and Spanish. Cancellation policy

TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until August 15, 2023. If the departure is cancelled out of your control, you will be alerted by August 15th, 2023 and will receive a full refund.

In this case, TourHero is not responsible for your preparation expenses, such as airline tickets, extra accommodations, loss of work, or any other cost associated with preparing for your trip. We recommend booking travel insurance, along with refundable flights/accommodations in case of cancellation.

Refunds for deposits
We will hold your spot as soon as you put down your deposit. However, if you decide to cancel your trip, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

Day 1

Welcome to Oaxaca – Mexico’s hidden gem and the home of your relaxing wellness retreat

Disconnect from the fast-paced life you’ve been living and reconnect with your heart in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca’s hidden port town on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Known for its pristine beaches and tranquil atmosphere, this is the perfect spot to hone your yoga practice and work on that self-care.

Upon arrival in Oaxaca, you’ll meet your group and take your transfer to Hotel Barbarenas – a chic, eco-friendly resort located right near the shoreline of Playa Zicatela. Designed with tranquility in mind, this secluded oasis offers its guests tropical bungalows, garden landscaping, and chill vibes all around.

After check-in, you’ll have some free time before meeting the group at a welcome dinner, featuring delicious vegetarian and vegan fare. From here, we’ll kick off the retreat with an orientation and mindset ceremony to set our intentions for the week ahead.

Day 2

Enjoy a day filled with yoga sessions, journaling, selfcare, and delicious fare

Rise and shine to your first full day at the retreat. Each morning, we’ll enjoy a light breakfast in silence to center and prepare for the day ahead, followed by yoga and meditation with Yely. From here, you’ll have ample free time to enjoy the property and the beach, along with a group lunch, selfcare session, and sunset yoga.

Each night, we’ll come together and share our reflections at a group dinner, followed by a journaling meditation to release anything that no longer serves us and connect with our joy and gratitude. Breathe in the stellar depth of this experience under a starry sky and give thanks to the universe for a great day in paradise.

Day 3

Soak up the sun at the pool or at the beach – the hardest decision you’ll make all day!

It’s another beautiful morning in paradise. Wake up the body and the mind with morning yoga, then see where the day takes you. Will you hang by the pool, lounge on the beach, or maybe enjoy a bit of both in your free time? No matter what you choose, live it up before our evening yoga session that will close out another great day in paradise. From journaling to selfcare sessions interspersed throughout our day, this retreat will put you on track towards your best self and your highest good.

Another day in paradise offers ample time to explore at your own pace and a special ceremony at the retreat center

It’s another day in a tropical oasis of yoga, food, and fun! Hone your practice on the mat and let yourself go in paradise. Today is a little different, in that we’ll have more free time to ourselves before we come together for a special ceremony. Check back for more info!

Enjoy one more day of sun, sand, and spiritual moments

While today marks your last full day in Oaxaca, you don’t need to say goodbye just yet. Stretch it out on your mat and fuel up with a sumptuous meal. In the afternoon, we’ll close out the retreat with our last yoga session and have ample time to catch some sun on the beach or surf some waves.

When the sun sets, put your best dress on and indulge in one final dinner with your group. Use this time to celebrate all that you’ve accomplished this week and reflect on all that you’ve seen, learned, and experienced.

Bid farewell to Hotel Barbarenas and the beauty of Oaxaca

The day has come to pack up and say goodbye to beautiful Puerto Escondido. After one final breakfast, say your goodbyes and make your way to the airport to catch your flight. We hope you had an unforgettable experience and will travel with us again soon. Be well!
