Welcome to Lisbon, Portugal’s hilly capital city, known for its trolley cars, diverse architecture, and coastal vibe. From the streets, you can see ancient castles, the pristine coastline, and the European charm that will capture your heart. Upon arrival, drop your bags at the hostel and start exploring on your own. With food and history at every turn, you’ll fall in love with this magical city. We’ll meet at sundown for a welcome dinner featuring local food and drinks to get to know each other before this Portuguese adventure begins in the morning. Get ready for the ultimate party experience!
Good morning, travelers! Today, we’ll explore the city on a guided E-bike tour along the cobblestone roads and hilly terrain. Don’t worry about pedaling, as these bikes come with a motor to make getting around a breeze! We’ll see some of the most famous landmarks of the city, such as the Praca do Comercio, Castelo de São Jorge, Panteao Nacional, Alfama (Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood), Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara, Sé de Lisboa Cathedral, and much more.
After a day of biking through the city, grab a meal with the group and meet up at a local bar to start our pub crawl. You’ll get free shots of Portuguese liquor, free drinks, and access to some of the best bars and clubs in the city. Put on your best outfit and make new friends on this night to remember!
Rise and shine! We hope you didn’t have too much fun last night, as there’s so much more in store today. After breakfast, we’ll take a trip to Oceanario, Portugal’s renowned aquarium, and home to more than 8,000 creatures located on the shoreline. Explore at your own pace and check out the various exhibits filled with mysteries of the sea. Don’t forget to explore their outdoor space with rolling green hills and picturesque views of the coastline.
You’ve learned so much about the city from your tour this morning, but now it’s time to see the streets of Lisbon as the sun sets. Jump on a pedal tavern with the group and drink your way through the hilly roads of downtown. You’ll pass by landmarks, such as the marina, Belém Tower, the Lisbon Bridge, and more on this delicious city tour. Crank up the music and let the fun begin!
After a restful sleep, it’s time to dig into more of Portugal’s history with a trip to Belém Tower. This 16th-century fort sits on the water and features Arabic and Christian design influences. It was built to guard the Tejo Estuary and has since become a Lisbon icon. Take time to explore and snap some photos for the 'gram.
Tonight, we’ll sail around the Lisbon coast on a private sailboat featuring Portuguese wines and stunning views. You’ll get to see the city from a new perspective and enjoy the history of Portugal through various libations. Kick up your heels and sail into a lovely night of socializing and lasting memories.
Whether you’ve surfed before or this is your first time, you’ll start your day on the Atlantic. This excursion will give you the chance to work with a professional instructor to learn the basics or hone your existing skills. All equipment will be provided, so you can enjoy a surf lesson in Costa da Caparica on your last day in this majestic city. When the sun sets, freshen up at the hostel and meet us at the bar for one last pub crawl with the group. We’ll toast to a stellar week together and share one more wild night before the trip comes to an end.
