Day 1

Welcome to Barcelona, Spain – home to incredible food, diverse art, and vibrant nightlife

Welcome to Barcelona, the capital of Spain’s Catalonia region and epicenter for art, architecture, and gastronomy. With landmarks, such as La Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, Parc Güell, and a variety of museums, you’re in for a cultural treat on this Spanish adventure. Check-in at the hostel and start wandering the medieval streets of the Gothic Quarter, known for its incredible food, friendly people, and trendy bars. For dinner, we’ll come together at a local tapas restaurant and start exploring the traditional food of Spain, toasting to the start of a wonderful adventure together!

Day 2

Explore the city by rickshaw and see all the famous landmarks of Barcelona

Good morning, travelers! After a great breakfast, we’ll head out on a rickshaw tour and see all the important landmarks of Barcelona. Along the way, we’ll stop for pictures at iconic spots, such as Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, Parc de la Ciutadella, Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, Homenatge a Picasso, and many more. This experience will give you the lay of the land for the next few days and provide you with the historical backdrop of this majestic city.

Enjoy a night on the town with a bar crawl through the city

Freshen up after a day of exploring the city and get ready for a bar crawl through the streets of Barcelona! Grab dinner with the group, head to the meeting point, and make new friends as you stop by some of the hottest clubs and bars in the area. With free drinks and great music, you’ll party till the sun comes up!

Day 3

Visit La Sagrada Familia, an icon of Barcelona and one of the most intricately built churches in the world

Rise and shine! Today, we get to visit an iconic venue in Barcelona: the Sagrada Familia church! Designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí, this masterpiece has been in the works for over 135 years. The complexity of the design shines through every sculpture, wall, and tower erected and tells a deep cultural tale of Catholicism and Spain’s history through a combination of Art Nouveau, Catalan Modernism, and Spanish Late Gothic design. Make sure your phone is charged for some unforgettable sights!

See the city from a new perspective on a sunset paddleboarding tour

Disconnect from the bustling city life and see Barcelona from the water on a paddleboarding tour, departing from the beach of Barceloneta. As the sun sets, you’ll watch the city light up while you glide along the tranquil waters. With a trained instructor full of local knowledge, this experience will fill your heart and revive you for another night on the town.

Day 4

Enjoy a day filled with art, cocktails, and tapas

What a day we have planned for you! After a delicious breakfast, head to the Museum of Contemporary Art and explore the MACBA’s permanent collection of artwork and current exhibits. Featuring art from around the world, immerse yourself in this exquisite institution. When you’re done exploring, you’ll have some free time before we meet back up for a Spanish cocktail class. A master mixologist will take you through the process of creating some of the most popular Spanish drinks with a history lesson embedded in their creations. While you practice your bartending craft, enjoy a variety of tapas made by a private chef. From here, hit the town and enjoy another night in Barcelona.

Day 5

Discover the history of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter on a guided walking tour

On our last full day in Barcelona, start your morning with a private walking tour through the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter. We’ll learn the area’s medieval history, touching upon its dark past and current successes. Our guide will bring us to all the historic landmarks, such as the Medieval Placa del Rei, the Palatine chapel of Santa Agata, and the Temple d'August, along with pointing out other remnants of Roman Barcelona. Once the tour is complete, enjoy the rest of your time in the city as you please, making some final memories before heading home in the morning.

Day 6

One last Barcelona breakfast and departure

The day has come to pack up our things and head to our next destination. Whether that’s home or a new journey, we hope you had a stellar trip! Enjoy one last breakfast before checking out of the hostel and head to the airport with a full heart and full camera roll. Adiós, amigos!
