During the trip I will teach you the basics and some tricks of photography in 4 workshops and introduce you to real Canary Island life.
7-day photo trip to Tenerife with workshops and guidance
If you love photography and want to deepen your hobby, this It’s A Ten-erife: Picture-Perfect Island Getaway with Erik is something for you.
This Canary Island has beautiful photo locations that the masses of tourists often ignore. We will visit a number of these locations in 7 days. Every day you can use the knowledge gained during the 4 workshops (inclusive) with personal guidance on site.
Who is this trip for?
Novice photographers or photographers with some experience. You will learn to use the options of your camera better and determine a good composition more quickly. And, not unimportant, how to get the best out of a location and plan your shoot optimally.
You have an SLR or system camera and a tripod. And of course a healthy desire for adventure and not being afraid of some improvisation along the way. A maximum of 7 people can go on this trip.
Tenerife:
Although Tenerife is known as a mass tourism destination, the island has much more to offer than beaches and cheap entertainment. The location next to Africa guarantees a wonderful climate with temperatures that rarely drop below 20 C.
Tenerife, like most Canary Islands, was created by a volcanic eruption. The Teide volcano is even one of the highest volcanoes in the world and the highest mountain in Spain.
The island is mountainous with lots of sun in the south and a more humid north with lush nature. In short, an ideal destination for photographers with a variety of subjects from epic landscapes to urbex locations.
Photo locations include:
-The pirate nest Masca: unique village with colorful history and beautiful location.
-Garachico and Icod de los Vinos: 2 Canarian towns with picturesque streets, houses and squares
-The Teide volcano. Set in an incredible lava landscape, it is one of the best places to photograph the Milky Way.
-Leprosia Abades: urbex location for real doomsday photos
-Playa de Benijo: one of the most beautiful sunset locations
The trip includes:
-4 photography workshops: Introduction to photo techniques, Composition and perspective, HDR photography and introduction to astro photography.
-Personal guidance on location.
-6 nights in standard room incl. breakfast at Hotel Laguna Nivaria in the centre of San Cristobal de la Laguna, the old historic capital of Tenerife
-Milky Way/astro photography on the Teide volcano
-Onsite transportation and transfers to airport
