Got your camera ready? It’s an early start as we embark on a thrilling journey to Arizona’s iconic Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World! You’ll be picked up directly from your hotel in Las Vegas at dawn, and our first stop is the jaw-dropping Hoover Dam, a majestic feat of engineering in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River that spans the Arizona-Nevada border. The concrete arch-gravity dam is a sight to behold, impounding Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the country by volume when full. As we continue towards the Grand Canyon, we’ll also traverse Route 66, which many consider a road trip lover’s dream with so many fascinating sights along the way.
We’ll arrive at the Grand Canyon South Rim in time for you to find some lunch. Here, you can take a helicopter ride to see the region from the sky (see optional add-ons section for details) — a totally different perspective, we guarantee you. Or, if you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, take a stroll along the rim to enjoy insane views that stretch across the rocky canyon as far as the eye can see. Then, we’ll continue to the shores of Lake Powell for your overnight stop in Page. After a long day of driving and sightseeing, it’s time to rest and relax — tomorrow is another day filled with awe-inspiring exploration through the rocky desert!
Rise and shine! Today, you have the chance to go on an optional 1.5-hour Navajo guided tour of Antelope Canyon, the world’s most famous Arizona slot canyon (see optional add-ons section for details). Then, we’ll embark on a short, guided scenic walk to Horseshoe Bend, one of Arizona’s unbelievable natural marvels. See the entrenched Colorado River meander the picturesque bend and, yes, take plenty of Instagram photos here — you’ll be crazy not to!
Next, we’ll venture to the Glen Canyon Dam, another concrete arch-gravity dam on the Colorado River — the second-highest after the Hoover Dam. The dam creates Lake Powell, which runs 186 miles long. After taking in this man-made marvel (complete with great photo ops!), we’ll travel back to Las Vegas through the scenic Virgin River Gorge, taking in Southwest USA’s spectacular landscapes. We’ll arrive back in Las Vegas in the evening at approximately 6 pm and say goodbye to you when we drop you off at your chosen accommodation. We hope you’ve enjoyed yourself on this overnight trip to see some of the most photogenic desert landscapes Arizona has to offer!
