Welcome to Iceland – the land of fire and ice. Once you’ve landed at Keflavik Airport, you'll meet your guide and be whisked away to one of the most iconic sites in the country – the Blue Lagoon! Relax in Mother Nature's most epic spa, named one of the ‘25 Wonders of the World’. The lagoon features geothermal pools with a strikingly blue color that makes photographing a dream. Visitors are recommended to slather themselves with the white volcanic mud, which has purifying and beautifying effects on the skin. After this pampering experience, we’ll head away from the crowds at the spa and get settled at our charming, quiet hotel in the south of Iceland. Relax, unwind, and start the trip with an evening yoga session (yoga equipment not included in price) before heading to a group meal at the hotel, where you can toast to the perfect Icelandic getaway. Enjoy!
Today, we hit the road to explore Southern Iceland’s most marvelous landmarks. Our trip will start with a drive along the South Coast to reach the area near the active volcano that is beneath the Eyjafjallajökull glacier. We’ll stop at the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall to walk behind the falls and have ample time for pictures. Next, we’ll travel to the Skogafoss Waterfall, where you can climb the stairs to the top for unparalleled views of the falls and the Eyjafjallajokull ice cap. After a break for lunch, we’ll continue along the coast to Reynisfjara Beach to admire the black sand and dramatic rock formations of Vik. However, if you’re feeling adventurous, opt for a glacier hike instead! (See add-ons below.) Make sure your cameras and phones are charged for a day of adventure through Iceland’s diverse landscape!
After yesterday's whirlwind trip around the South Coast, we're going to slow down the pace today. There is nothing on the schedule aside from yoga sessions in the morning and evening, so you'll have the time you need to appreciate this beautiful corner of the country however you'd like. You can head out and explore, but you're also welcome to just relax at the hotel. It's totally up to you!
It’s time to explore some of the most iconic sights in all of Iceland. After breakfast and yoga, we’ll pack up and hit the road, traveling to Iceland's Golden Circle for a full day of sightseeing. We’ll start the journey with a trip to Þingvellir National Park, the site of the Viking Parliament and tectonic plates. This majestic treasure features the largest natural lake in Iceland and was deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site! From here, we’ll continue on to the Geysir Geothermal Area, home of the original erupting ‘geyser’ and its counterpart Strokkur. Lastly, we’ll venture to the Gullfoss Waterfall, a breathtaking sight of power and grandeur. After time for pictures, we’ll make our way back to Reykjavík and check into the next hotel for evening yoga, dinner, and a great night’s rest.
It's a beautiful morning here in Reykjavík, and we have a fun activity to help kick off this leg of the trip! After breakfast and a yoga session, we’ll travel to the Sky Lagoon for a tour and soak. This geothermal spa is sure to impress and will prepare you for the adventures ahead through its calming waters. From here, we’ll make our way back to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon and some great food. As an exciting activity for tonight (subject to weather conditions), we'll head out on a 3-hour Northern Lights tour to see the aurora borealis in all its splendor!
Awake to yoga and breakfast in Iceland and prepare for another epic day of sightseeing! Today, we’ll go in search of whales and dolphins on a three-hour cruise along the coastal curve. If we’re lucky, we’ll see humpbacks, orcas, porpoises and dolphins! Our guide will also tell us fascinating information about these incredible creatures and their habitat. From here, the day is yours to command before our evening yoga session and group dinner at the hotel. Have fun!
Rise and shine to a perfect morning in Iceland! After fueling up with a delicious breakfast spread and our morning yoga/meditation session, we’ll jump in the bus and tour West Iceland. This area is known for the Snæfellsnes peninsula which houses the majestic Snæfellsnes glacier – two sites you’ll see today! Many of the Viking stories you may know took place on these beautiful lands. If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you’ll see “arrowhead mountain” aka Mount Kirkjufell. We’ll stop to take pictures, learn about the land, and take a dip in the hot springs, all before we return to the hotel for evening yoga (if the hotel conference room is available) and dinner. Get ready for a stellar day of nature, history, and fun!
It’s time to pack up and head home! After breakfast, we’ll travel to the airport and say our final goodbyes. We hope you had a great time on this explorative journey and will travel with us again soon!
