Adventure across the stunning island of Iceland to explore glaciers, volcanoes, and waterfalls on a six-day wellness retreat. Iceland’s contrasts of fire and ice will serve as our inspiration, guiding our energetic morning yoga practices and our restorative evening sessions. Beyond the backdrop of Iceland’s emerald coast, you’ll explore your own inner landscape, reconnecting with the raw, the essential, the vibrant, and the eternally true aspects of yourself.
Our experience will be anchored next to the iconic Skógafoss Waterfall, where we’ll camp under the stars cozied up to this magnificent wonder. Each morning, we’ll climb out of our tents for our morning practice besides the waterfall: movement, breath, and meditation to awaken and energize us for the coming excursion. Our daily adventures include hiking to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and the Eldhraun Lava Field, river rafting in the Gullfoss canyon, and floating in the famed Blue Lagoon. You’ll have ample free time to explore and hike amid some of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth. Back at home camp, we’ll end each evening with a restorative yoga session, nurturing our bodies with gentle movement and breath, Yoga Nidra meditation, and savasana.
This trip is an exploration of contrasts: fire and ice, movement and meditation, adventure and rest. Together, we’ll navigate the polarities of Iceland, as you learn how to inhabit the middle space, the place of sustainable wellness. You’ll return home with tools to help you continue to feel whole, vibrant, and connected — a new set of yoga practices, fresh perspective, and a better understanding and appreciation of your inner landscape.

Welcome to Iceland! Our exploration of Iceland’s wonders will be the gateway to explore your inner landscape through movement, meditation, breathwork, and deep rest.
Upon arrival, you’ll take your transfer to some of the best locations Iceland has to offer, starting with the Gunnuhver Hot Spring, bridge between the continents, and Geldingadalur Lava Field. From here, you’ll head to the famed Blue Lagoon to experience the magical powers of the geothermal seawater in the iconic blue basin. There’s no better way to begin a week of mind and body work than this! From here, we’ll head to our campsite next to the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall, get settled, and enjoy our first meal together with time to get to know each other. The night will end with a restorative yoga session to get the mind and body ready for a restful sleep.
We’ll wake early for our daily morning yoga session beside the waterfall, which will include activating breathwork, warming movement, and grounding meditation. Our practice will prepare us for our upcoming explorations, as we’ll embark on a guided tour of Iceland’s Golden Circle. Before we depart, we’ll enjoy a nourishing breakfast prepared for us on-site, filling the body with healthy sustenance to fuel you for a day of movement and mindfulness.
We’ll start with a rafting tour through the Gullfoss Canyon, enjoying the waves, the rapids, the stunning backdrop, and the river itself. After a hot shower and sauna session, we'll continue on our way, stopping by the Geysir Geothermal Area, home of the original erupting “geyser” and its counterpart Strokkur. Next, we’ll venture to the Gullfoss Waterfall, a breathtaking sight of power and grandeur, before making our way to Þingvellir National Park. This majestic treasure features the largest natural lake in Iceland and was deemed a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a final stop at the Kerid Crater, we’ll arrive back at the campsite in time for dinner, followed by a soft and relaxing restorative yoga session.
After a restful sleep, wake up to another beautiful day at the campsite, ready to enjoy the stunning landscape of Iceland in good company. We’ll start the day with breath, movement, and meditation. After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to the Fimmvörðuháls trailhead for an invigorating day-hike.
This popular path showcases the location of the first phase of the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökull. On this trek, enjoy the spectacular views of nature and exciting geological features, as the trail goes from the nature reserve of Þórsmörk, up between the two glaciers of Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. We’ll return to the campsite with a full heart, ready to refuel and share our experiences over dinner. We’ll close out the night with a group share and delicious restorative yoga session.
We’re getting in a rhythm! After yoga and breakfast in the quiet of the morning beside the waterfall, we’ll tour more of the area, starting with the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach. Here, parts of the glaciers break off from their mass and float back towards the black sand beach. You’ll quickly see why it’s called Diamond Beach!
From here, we’ll head to the Eldhraun Lava Field created by Volcano Laki in the 1700s; its tragic eruption killed almost 25% of the total population. We’ll also visit a rare historic site called Hofskirkja, one of six turf churches left in the country. Our last stop is at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, a sight that is sure to impress on this tour of nature’s wonders: rocky cliffs, green moss, and flowing rivers. After a full day of exploration, giving us the chance to connect as a group and with nature, we’ll share dinner back at the campsite. We’ll close our day with gentle movement and deep stretching to care for the muscles that carried us all over the beauty of Iceland.
Today is our last full day in this stunning place, and we’ll savor our morning yoga practice and breakfast. Grounded and fueled for a day of exploration, we'll pack and embark on our final excursion: a trip to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country! We’ll make stops at the Skógafoss Waterfall and the Sólheimajökull Glacier first, then head to the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall for a walk through its narrow canyon. This waterfall's natural design will lead us to beautiful cascading waters on the other side.
Lastly, we'll travel to the Gljúfrabúi Waterfall for one final look at Iceland's magic, after which we’ll head to the capital Reykjavík. Here, we'll enjoy one last dinner as a group before we part in the morning.
Our adventure has been an exploration of fire and ice, movement and meditation, adventure and rest. You’re returning home with tools to help you continue to feel whole, vibrant, and connected — a new set of yoga practices, fresh perspective, and a better understanding and appreciation of your inner landscape.
After one final breakfast together, it’s time to pack up and take your transfer to the airport to catch your flight. I hope you’ll join me again on another retreat soon!
