Yay! You’ve landed in the beautiful city of Milan! Once you’ve checked out of Malpensa Airport, grab a bus or express train to the city and check into your accommodation. You’ll have the afternoon to relax or soak up some culture. The city is teeming with glorious architecture both ancient and modern, monuments galore, canal stretches and parks. And, of course, this is one of the most famous fashion cities in the world — a veritable clothes’ shoppers paradise. Tonight, get ready for a welcome dinner and enjoy your first taste of genuine Italian pizza. Bon appetit!
Good morning! Shake off your sleepy head and prepare to see the city... on two wheels! Your guided tour of Italy’s fashion capital takes place on electric bikes, and you’ll see Milan’s most famous attractions up close. Take in Sforza Castle, the trendy Ticinese district, Duomo Cathedral, plus some off-the-beaten-track landmarks. After our weye-opening tour, spend some time in the afternoon to explore the city's delightful sights for yourself, and perhaps load up on some hearty pasta in preparation for your evening’s bar crawl, which we're sure will stretch late into the night! With so many drinkeries to choose from, this tour will show you the pick of the city’s pubs and bars, and finish up with a VIP club night. A word of advice - don’t forget your dancing shoes!
After last night’s partying, a visit to Milan’s amazing cathedral is the perfect, peaceful start to the third day of your adventure. Made entirely from marble and crafted in an Italian gothic style, the building is a sight to behold. Inside, you’ll find 3,000 statues, 135 gargoyles, and 700 sculptures. Remember to dress a little conservatively, with arms and legs covered to guarantee entry. Enjoy an espresso Italiano in one of the many cafes outside, then prepare to see one of the most famous paintings on Earth: Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper! This 15th-century mural shows Jesus and the Twelve Apostles and is a hugely important piece of history. Still up for a bit more exploring? You’ll have a free evening to discover the rest of the city — or to catch up on some sleep!
Suitably refreshed, you’ll begin your day with a trip to the traveling Leonard Da Vinci exhibition. It’s a fabulous interactive experience with themed rooms, digitally-restored versions of Da Vinci’s artwork and some surprise discoveries found in his original paintings. Take a few hours for a lazy lunch, peruse the shops, and perhaps buy yourself some new clothes for the evening — you’ll be going out Italian-style! Strolling around the city, you’ll be led by an expert foodie who'll bring you on a wonderful street food tour to taste of some of Milan’s gourmet delights. Plus, you’ll get to try the best aperitivo the city has to offer. These are pre-meal drinks, designed to whet your appetite and ease you into the night ahead. They offer a true taste of Italy and are just the thing to get the party mood going!
Chances are you’ll be feeling suitably Italian after four days in Milan. Now, it’s time to learn some cooking secrets! Italian desserts are just as culturally-important to the locals as their pizza and pasta. What’s more, they taste amazing! You’ll learn how to prepare the famous Italian chocolate ganache, used in truffles and glazes; Italian pastry dough; Caprese cake; and of course, the famous tiramisu. Grab a few souvenirs in the afternoon and a little rest before a farewell party. Tonight, you’ll have free entry to one of the city’s premium nightclubs where you can drink, dance and soak up the atmosphere of Milan’s vibrant after-dark scene.
With the lively sounds of Milan’s nightlife still ringing in your ears, shake off your party head and bid your new friends and the city goodbye. Your journey may be over, but we hope it’s just the start of a wider Italian adventure.
