Katherine (Kat) Palms, the Director of the Leelanau Wellness Collective, has over a decade of experience in teaching yoga and leading well-being classes and workshops. Katherine is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP®), Yoga, Chi Gong, & XFormer and Mat Pilates instructor, an author of a Face Yoga Guide, and the visionary behind wellness weekend retreats in Leelanau County, Michigan. A customized retreat featuring movement, local in-season food, adventure, massage and seasonal activities.
For the past three years, Katherine has been designing and leading wellness retreats, in addition to her eight years of experience assisting in teacher training programs and retreats. -As you land at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, the serene energy of Sedona awaits. Sedona is known for its vortex energy, thought to promote healing and self-reflection – perfect for your wellness journey. A group transfer will whisk you away to Sedona Nest, where stunning red rock views and a warm welcome are ready to greet you.
-After check-in, take time to explore the surroundings, unwind in one of the many cozy lounge areas, or simply breathe in the tranquil landscape.
-Meet your fellow retreat guests for a casual welcome gathering and delicious meal, setting the tone for a weekend of community and self-discovery.
-As the sun begins to set, join a guided meditation and gentle stretching session on the yoga deck (weather permitting), where the breathtaking red rock backdrop enhances the calming energy of the practice. This is only the beginning...
-Your first full day in Sedona begins in the quiet of the early morning with time for tea or coffee while watching the sunrise over the red rocks.
-Head to the yoga deck to start the day with an energizing yoga session, surrounded by the powerful landscape.
-After a nourishing breakfast, the adventure continues with a hike through Sedona’s iconic red rock trails. Known for its unique energy and awe-inspiring formations like Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock, Sedona’s hiking paths offer more than just physical activity – they provide an opportunity to reflect and reconnect with yourself and the natural world.
-Post-lunch, you’ll have free time to indulge in an optional massage, designed to ease tension and further deepen your relaxation. (Not included in price; see add-ons).
-At 4:00 pm, a Breathwork & Meditation Workshop awaits on the yoga deck.
-The day concludes with dinner and our yoga practice. Under the soft evening sky, this session focuses on restorative movement and mindfulness, helping you to fully release the day and honor your body’s need for rest and recovery.
-As you ease into the morning, enjoy a peaceful start with tea or coffee, followed by a nourishing breakfast spread.
-Head to the yoga deck for a Pilates session with Sedona’s striking red rock landscape as your backdrop.
-After lunch, the afternoon offers some well-deserved free time to rest or explore.
-At 4:00 pm, return to the yoga deck for another Breathwork & Meditation Workshop.
-The day culminates under the starry Sedona sky in the form of dinner and a group bonfire. Gather with fellow retreat-goers for an evening of connection and sharing.
-Your final morning in Sedona begins with our peaceful ritual of tea and coffee, giving you a moment to reflect on the journey you've experienced over the past few days.
-After a delightful breakfast, gather on the yoga deck for one last movement practice, blending gentle yoga and stretching with a heartfelt final conversation.
