Cancellation policy

TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until January 27, 2024. If the departure is canceled out of your control, you will be alerted by January 27, 2024 and will receive a full refund.

In this case, TourHero is not responsible for your preparation expenses, such as airline tickets, extra accommodations, loss of work, or any other cost associated with preparing for your trip. We recommend booking travel insurance, along with refundable flights/accommodations in case of cancellation.

Refunds for deposits
We will hold your spot as soon as you put down your deposit. However, if you decide to cancel your trip, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

Refunds for fully-paid trips
You may change or cancel your trip up until January 27, 2024 for a refund. After this time, no refunds will be given.

Trip cancellation due to COVID-19
A full credit will be issued if the tour is canceled when there is full border closure due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. This credit can go towards booking a future TourHero tour (see our COVID-19 guarantee on the tour itinerary page). We suggest buying your own travel insurance for coverage of cancellations within 30 days of the tour commencing for reasons other than a full tour cancellation.

Day 1

Embrace the universal beauty of nature on your first day in Costa Rica

Welcome to Costa Rica! A destination known around the world for its healing beauty and powerful spiritual properties, it's the perfect place for our retreat centered around rest, self-care, wellness, and acceptance. After landing at the airport, you'll be transferred to La Fortuna, an endlessly scenic town where local culture and pristine wilderness both thrive alongside one another. Check into your retreat center, drop off your bags, and enjoy a moment to get adjusted.

Once you've had some time to relax, we'll come together for a yoga flow session. Not only will this give you a chance to get your body in alignment with your surroundings, but you'll also be able to meet your fellow travelers and begin forging powerful bonds. Some free time will then lead us to a workshop centered around rest and restoration, encouraging you to give your entire system the time and space it needs for rejuvenation. A wonderful dinner will round out our first day in La Fortuna.

Day 2

Sink deeper into relaxation with a workshop and a meditation session

Rise gracefully with the sounds, sights, and sensations of La Fortuna surrounding you. We'll begin the day with breakfast, giving us time to reflect and find harmony, before a revive and refresh workshop. The perfect way to begin our wellness activities for the day, this workshop will fill us with energy and positivity. You'll then have some free time to yourself that you can spend however you'd like. We'll come back together in the evening for a mindfulness meditation where you can simply be present in this amazing environment. Allow your stresses to melt away and your mind to reach a state of blissful openness.

Day 3

Heal yourself amidst the deep magic of Costa Rica

Today presents us with yet another opportunity to shed negativity and make personal progress free from judgment. Our first workshop of the day will be centered around compassion fatigue and recovery. With support from Mother Nature, you'll learn the importance of treating yourself with compassion as well as how to fully recover from fatigue and stress. Our evening session will be a guided meditation where Ginger will help ease you into a mode of mental clarity. As always, a dinner composed of healthy, natural ingredients will finish out our day.

Day 4

Develop a new level of respect for yourself

There is nothing selfish about respecting yourself and making decisions that allow you to flourish. In fact, it's a key part of life: if you don't honor yourself, you won't be able to properly honor those around you. With this in mind, today will be focused on instilling within you a new level of self-respect. A post-breakfast workshop on setting boundaries will kick things off, showing you how to serve yourself and toss aside toxicity. Use some afternoon free time for either rest or adventure before a meditation themed around honoring yourself. Here, you'll see yourself as the divine being that you are, and you'll head into your future feeling confident and empowered.

Day 5

Find your center on the final full day of the retreat

It's the last full day of our retreat; we head home tomorrow. After a heavenly breakfast accompanied by the serene soundtrack of the rainforest, we'll have a coming home to yourself workshop. Here, you'll continue practicing self-acceptance and your identity will bloom freely. Then, before dinner, a sound meditation will help you find your center and attain a sense of total balance before heading home in the morning.

Day 6

Give thanks to Mother Nature for a tranquil trip before returning home

Slowly and gently, our trip comes to a close today. Enjoy one final morning listening to the soothing sounds of the rainforest before packing up your bags and heading to the airport. It's been a truly amazing time here, and you're heading home feeling refreshed and ready to continue your wellness journey on your own. Good luck – we can't wait to see what amazing things you accomplish!

Finca Luna Nueva is located in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle, deemed a recreational paradise and a living classroom for all who visit. The lodge offers delicious ‘farm-to-table’ food, comfortable rooms/suites, and miles of hiking trails through rainforests, farmland, and herbal gardens. Enjoy the views of each from your chosen accommodation, all featuring private decks or wraparound porches. What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

Will TourHero or the operator take care of my visa (if applicable)?

Travelers are responsible for researching visa requirements and obtaining a visa if needed. Please check government websites to ensure you have the necessary documents, along with passport requirements, before your departure date. This includes necessary transit visas, permits, and vaccinations required prior to travel and any required reciprocity fees for the destination. TourHero will provide a booking confirmation document after purchase, which may be needed to obtain a visa.

If your visa is denied for any reason, TourHero will issue a refund based on the cancellation policy. However, we are unable to provide a refund after the cancellation due date has passed.

Do I need a passport for this trip?

A full and valid passport is required for all persons traveling to any destination outside of one’s home country. Most international tours require a passport that's valid for at least six (6) months beyond the scheduled end of your itinerary. TourHero will not issue refunds based on passport issues such as renewals or lost passports.
