-Day one of your Costa Rican adventure kicks off as you touch down at San José International Airport. Your group will embark on a picturesque 4-hour journey to your luxurious accommodations at Topanga Villa. Along the way, the drive itself turns into a series of delightful experiences.
-Your first stop is the famed Crocodile Bridge, where you can feel the thrill of spotting massive crocodiles basking below – a truly Instagram-worthy moment to capture! Following this encounter, unwind and refresh with a beach stop where the ocean's soothing sounds complement a cool sip of fresh coconut water – setting the perfect tone for what lies ahead.
-For lunch, treat yourself to local flavors at your own pace and expense, savoring the culinary delights that Costa Rica has to offer.

Take a scenic horseback ride to the Nauyaca Waterfall!
-Rise and shine to a day of adventure. After breakfast, we’re off to the Nauyaca Waterfall via horseback! This picturesque journey leads to one of the country’s most stunning natural attractions.
-When we arrive, you’ll have the chance to dive into its refreshing waters, swim beneath the cascading falls, or simply relax and soak in the serene beauty of the surroundings. Here, we’ll also enjoy a delicious local lunch.
-Recharged, you'll saddle up for the return ride, arriving back at the villa by 3:00 pm.
-The afternoon offers ample free time to unwind at the villa. Whether you choose to enjoy the villa’s amenities, rest, or perhaps explore nearby attractions at your own pace, the time is yours to savor.
-As the evening rolls in, reconvene for a communal dinner, allowing everyone to share stories of their waterfall adventure and look forward to the days ahead.
Day 3 · May 4, 2025
Yoga, surfing, and beach time round out another stellar day in Costa Rica
-Enjoy a beautiful sunrise, then participate in an invigorating 75-minute yoga session. This early morning practice, set against the backdrop of the villa’s tranquil environment, prepares both body and mind for the day’s activities. From here, fuel up with a spread of local and nutritious food options.
-By 10:00 am, you'll be on your way to Marino Ballena National Park, famed for its stunning ocean views and marine biodiversity. Dive right into the vibrant beach culture with a surfing lesson. Whether you’re a beginner catching your first wave or an experienced surfer perfecting your moves, the expert instructors will ensure you have a memorable experience.
-Indulge in some free time to explore the park's pristine beaches, go for a swim, or simply relax under the Costa Rican sun.
-Lunch offers a chance to refuel and relax before heading into more free time in the afternoon.

From the farmers’ market to a cacao tour, immerse yourself in local culture

-Head out to explore a vibrant local Farmers’ Market, where you can mingle with local vendors, sample fresh produce, and immerse yourself in the community's lively atmosphere. You can enjoy lunch here, too, or snack on a pre-packed option from the villa.
-The afternoon is dedicated to a delightful cacao tour. Trace the journey of cacao from bean to bar! The highlight is undoubtedly the chocolate tasting session, where you can indulge in various chocolates, appreciating the rich flavors and craftsmanship involved in traditional chocolate making.
-Return to the villa for free time and another delicious group dinner.
Day 5 · May 6, 2025
Kayak through the mangroves and enjoy free time in paradise
-An early breakfast lends itself to a journey on the water! Set off on a morning kayaking excursion, an adventure that promises to blend physical activity with the serene beauty of nature. Prepare for approximately four hours of kayaking through the majestic mangroves. This immersive experience allows you to glide silently through the waterways, enveloped by the dense greenery of the mangroves.
-From here, return to the villa for free time and dinner – capping off another killer day in Costa Rica.

Say goodbyes to new friends and new experiences

-Next, it’s time to get packed and check out of your accommodation.
-At 11:00 am, your group will transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport. Will TourHero or the operator take care of my visa (if applicable)?
Travelers are responsible for researching visa requirements and obtaining a visa if needed. Please check government websites to ensure you have the necessary documents, along with passport requirements, before your departure date. This includes necessary transit visas, permits, and vaccinations required prior to travel and any required reciprocity fees for the destination. TourHero will provide a booking confirmation document after purchase, which may be needed to obtain a visa.
If your visa is denied for any reason, TourHero will issue a refund based on the cancellation policy. However, we are unable to provide a refund after the cancellation due date has passed.
Do I need a passport for this trip?
A full and valid passport is required for all persons traveling to any destination outside of one’s home country. Most international tours require a passport that's valid for at least six (6) months beyond the scheduled end of your itinerary.
